In news sending shockwaves throughout Gospel music, LaShun Pace – a member of the legendary group The Anointed Pace Sisters – has passed away aged 60.
On Monday (March 21), news about Pace – best known for her signature song ‘I Know I’ve Been Changed,’ ‘There’s a Leak in This Old Building,’ and the Karen Clark Sheard-assisted 1996 hit ‘Act Like You Know‘ (which recently went viral thanks to a TikTok trend) – began surfacing on the net according to a number of sources including Dorinda Clark-Cole and Sheard herself.
According to a family member, the Christian Music Hall of Famer’s official cause of death was organ failure after being on kidney dialysis for five years.
The news comes just a year after her sister, Duranice, passed away after a battle with cancer.
Rest In Peace. We are playing “My neck my back” for her funeral
Kesha’s Raising Hell is more appropriate💅🏾
STFU you disrespectful trañny, talking to yo damn self. Do us a favor and drink bleach. Nasty ass
I cannot believe this. I loved her and her music. I’m completely sad. May she forever rest in God’s eternal peace
You need some d I c k therapy if you can get one💅🏾 I doubt it coz you are ugly af
You looking in a mirror trañny?? You ugly af inside and out. 🪞 🪞
Should’ve given them their roses when they were alive, like they did the legendary Clark Sisters. The Pace family has been sorely overlooked.
They gave you the “Act Like You Know” TikTok sound.
Look up Duranice Pace singing before she passed at a Thanksgiving gathering. Unearthly talent!!!!!! Divine and heavenly.
The Pace Sisters, while talented doesn’t have a vast catalogue of hits like The Clark Sisters. They didnt usher in a new sound like The Clark Sisters. LaShun, the solo artist was more successful than The Pace Sisters and that’s just being truthful.
Rest In Peace. Didn’t she just bury her sister, the lovely one who used to make up the thanksgiving jingles 😢
🙏🏾 rip Legend 👑 Lashun and her sisters should’ve been more respected in ther music industry.
I just recently received the news about the passing of Lashun Pace. I didn’t know that her mother and her sister passed away not long ago. I had opportunity of meeting of seeing and meeting her in person when she came to Philadelphia twice. she had a powerful voice. I saw her sisters on Iyanla Fix M Life. Her oldest sister that passed away got sick on the show. My thoughts, prayers, condolences, and sympathy goes out the family.
