Shawn Mendes has been busy cooking up new music.

Mendes announced his new single ‘When You’re Gone’ via Twitter and went on to share the new release date for the song. It is set to arrive on March 31.

As we previously reported, the ‘In My Blood’ singer debuted his new tune at South by Southwest. The track appears, although not confirmed, to be about his breakup with Camilia  Cabello. Across the tune he sings:

“I’m just trying to hold on / Cause I don’t want to know what it’s like when you’re gone.“

‘When You’re Gone’ is set to be his first release since sharing his song, ‘It’ll Be Okay’ late last year.
