When the 2022 GRAMMY Awards roll around on April 3, two realities are certain.
The first is that Trevor Noah will reprise his role as host. The second is that Kanye West will not be in the building.
Indeed, despite nabbing a multiple nominations – including a nod for Best Album for ‘Donda’ – the rapper has been dropped from the performer line-up for “concerning online behavior” in the wake of his split from Kim Kardashian.
Naturally, the decision ignited a wave of debate. And now Noah is weighing in.
Check out his reaction below…
Taking to Twitter moments ago, The Daily Show host wrote:
“I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye.”
As covered here That Grape Juice, West’s “concerning online behavior’ has included making it a daily routine to slam his ex-wife on social media and hurl vitriol at her new boyfriend, comedian Pete Davidson – including the depiction of the decapitating and burying of the comic in a music video.
The MC also notably clashed with Noah, who publicly condemned his conduct. In response, West drew on racial insults, branding Noah a “k**n” – a move that resulted in him being suspended from Instagram for 24 hours.
Shut up gurl didn’t he call you a coo00on.
