Despite the combined forces of BTS, Justin Bieber, Silk Sonic, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, and Billie Eilish on its performance roster, they – alongside the other chart-toppers who took to the stage – weren’t enough to Sunday’s GRAMMYs from failing to attract viewers (April 3).
Although early Nielsen ratings reports don’t indicate the lowest tune-in the Trevor Noah-hosted affair has ever courted, it was pretty darn close.

Viewership: 8.93 Million
Despite boasting a slew of historic highs and unprecedented wins, the 64th annual edition of music’s biggest night drew its second-lowest viewership figures ever.
“The 64th annual Grammys on Sunday drew 8.93 million viewers in time-zone-adjusted fast national ratings from Nielsen. That’s an increase of about 130,000 viewers from the comparable figures last year, which were an all-time low for the awards. Out of home viewing will likely help Sunday’s broadcast edge past last year’s low — CBS is predicting adjustments to about 9.6 million viewers in the final same-day Nielsen.”

Honestly there werent any performers that drew a crowd. Also, ppl dont sit through full award shows anymore we just watch the performances we want nd move on.
The awards are meaningless today imo, so I watch for the performances. It would be really cool if the Grammys did more anniversary performances like they did on this year’s Oscars. It could help build appreciation for more r&b and more of the quality music that is missing today.
Because the current artists are NOT Original. They are NOT bringing anything NEW except gender bending.
They are pretty much recycling older style music that people have been listening to for decades. It’s innovations that keep the masses interested.
If only they called Queen Nicki Minaj, would they have had an extra 24 million views.
