Serving as the second single from the rapper’s incoming sophomore album ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You’ (due May 6) the track – which samples Fergie’s 2007 chart-topper ‘Glamorous’ – has become a viral sensation since its release. Especially on TikTok.
The latter has helped create the perfect storm of buzz for the song, which has become 1,136th #1 in the Hot 100’s 63-year history. It’s notably the 60th song to launch at #1.
So, let’s dive into the numbers.
Harlow flew ‘First Class’ to the top spot with the following in the U.S:
- 54.6 million streams (the best streaming week for any artist thus far in 2022)
- 4.1 million radio airplay audience impressions
- 10,600 digital downloads
‘First Class’ serves as the 24-year-old second #1 on the coveted count, following last year’s ‘Industry Baby’ collaboration with Lil Nas X. It stands as his first as a lead act/soloist.
Suffice to say, this success (as well as that of the preceding single, ‘Nail Tech’) sets Harlow’s sophomore era up handsomely.
