Iggy Azalea Slams Playboi Carti For Saying He ‘Takes Care of Her’: ‘We’re Not Even on Good Terms’

Iggy Azalea isn’t playing with Playboi Carti, the father of her one-year-old son Onyx.

According to Azalea, the ‘Miss the Rage’ rapper missed the mark when he spoke to ‘XXL’ magazine to say he works hard to take care of his family – which includes his child and Azalea.

Once Iggy Iggz got word of his comments, she launched into a Twitter rant to set the record straight.

While chatting with ‘XXL’ in earlier this month, Playboi confirmed he and the 31-year-old rapstress are no longer together but – according to him – were successfully co-parenting.

“And Iggy, she’s a great mom. I love her to death. I’m single. She’s single now. But that’s one of the best mothers in the world. And that’s what you got to put in the book, you hear me? I love her to death. She is the best mother in the world,” he said before later stating, “I pay a lot of bills. I take care of a lot of people. I take care of my mom. I take care of my family. I take care of my baby mom [and] I take care of my son. There’s a lot of people I take care of. So, it’s like, I gotta keep doing it.”

Taking to social media, the 31-year-old rapstress addressed Carti’s claims about the status of their relationship.

“Take care of me? Lmaooooo let’s not get carried away now,” Azalea tweeted on Wednesday, April 13. “I laughed. A lot. … I don’t f–k with a man I’m not even remotely on good terms with claiming he pays my bills. I pay my bills.”

Continuing, Iggy revealed she was forewarned about the interview’s content by his team, but his praises weren’t enough to keep her silent.

“Saying nice things for an interview sounds great but in real life he talks to me like s–t so badly,” Azalea wrote. “His team has been calling about the interview, hoping for my silence because they know what my reaction would be. I do appreciate being called a great mom but when that’s not reflective of what he has to say in real life I’d much rather be left out of being mentioned at all.”
