As Kehlani‘s latest album, ‘Blue Water Road,’ rides up real-time R&B sales charts, the singer-songwriter is pushing its content to the masses with hopes of seeing that commercial success reflected on the Billboard 200 upon its debut next week.
The latest single from the set to get the video treatment is the 90’s-inspired ‘Up At Night.’
“You wonder why I love you/There was never pressure,” they sing. “Easy as I want to/There’s just no one better/You think it’s calculated/Baby, I’m just not that clever, never.”
Accompanied by a Nono & Rodrigo-directed clip which sees ‘Lani showing off some serious footwork like never before, hop inside to see the visual in full.
Yesss! Get the girls dancing again! Bring back real music videos. More uptempos! We are BORED!!! There’s a reason why older music makes up most of todays music consumption. ☕️🫖
Well artists then were actually likable due to their swag, vibe and energy. The older music is simply a reflection of them. The newer music is a reflection of the artists nowadays. The Golden Ages are long gone because ppl have changed. At this point…ppl are simply trying to recapture the magic.
This sounds gives me 3lw vibes. Something the group would of came out with back then.
Ok, Kehlani. I MIGHT start paying attention now. I’m always here for a 90’s uptempo and some 8-counts that aren’t stripper derived…
Flop….
I just love Kehlani she is good
