The ‘Butter’ belters revealed the news moments ago during this year’s installment of their annual BTS Fest dinner.

Explaining the decision, the seven-piece ensemble shared that they are parting ways for an undisclosed period to explore solo opportunities and also to grow.

Member RM unpacked that while they have achieved so much as a group, the desire now is to mature.

The announcement comes on the heels of their compilation release ‘Bulletproof,’ which supports the suggestion that the parting has been carefully planned.

During their colossal run, the K-Pop septet dominated the charts on a global scale and broke cultural and commercial barriers in earnest.
