For, the Queen of Bounce is now detailing the moment that she heard was sampled for Beyonce’s ‘Break My Soul.’

In an interview with Page Six, she shared that she “didn’t know I was the first single” and that she found out the same day as everyone else. However, she is now sharing the experience she had when she first heard ‘Beak My Soul.’
She met Bey in a a Los Angeles recording studio and when the song played, the speakers “were like jumping at me.” She then goes on to say that, “I was in there just like shaking and like excited and overwhelmed.”
Big Freedia shares that the experience left her feeling both “humbled” and “grateful.”
‘Break My Soul’ samples Big Freedia’s 2014 song ‘Explode.’ Moreover, ‘Break My Soul’ serves as the lead single from Beyonce’s upcoming ‘Renaissance’ album, which is due out July 29.
