Although Usher has already amassed nine #1 hits and 18 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 over his nearly 30-year career, response to his latest release suggests the next chapter of his career will be filled with no shortage of its own share of successes.
Look inside to see the good start the City Girls-led ‘Good Love’ is off to at Billboard.
Released June 30, ‘Good Love’ – which prominently samples Lathun‘s 90’s hit ‘Freak It’ – has lived up to its title via the response its gotten on streaming and digital download outlets.
Paired with clicks of its Daps-helmed official music video (seen above), the party-starting tune started its Hot 100 journey this week at #70. For the Girls, the entry comes as their fourth appearance on the hit list as leaders and follows their previous hits ‘Twerk’ (#29 peak), ‘Act Up’ (#26 peak), and ‘Twerkulator’ (#51 peak).
For Usher, the placement comes as an extension of his reign as one of the most successful male R&B singers in history. It’s not only the 52nd entry of his career, but also his first since acting as assistant to Summer Walker‘s 2019 hit ‘Come Thru.’

Your thoughts?
Usher don’t need anymore hits to cement his legacy. He’s already the male R&B/Pop artist with the most number one’s since Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
How could it be thanks to City girls when they released flop after flop?
They the ones that ruined it. He should’ve done it without them. Smh
It’s a shame that Usher needs to collaborate with these random cheap ass ghetto h o e s to get a hit💅🏾 Smh…. He seems lower his standard to women after hooking up with that h e r p e s fat whale 🤳🏽🥴
You the H***** Champion 🙃
Usher is so timeless🥰
That song sucks. And Usher didn’t need to join with those whack chicks to do it. It’s trash. They’re rapping on it turns the song to trash.
