Despite fame for being the creator of ‘Harry Potter,’ the best-selling book series in history (with over 500 million copies sold as of time reported), JK Rowling is considered a posterchild of ‘trans-exclusionary feminism’ – a title earned for years of doubling down on her beliefs against transwomen.
Easily the biggest stain on her otherwise pristine career, the author appears ready to add one more ‘F-U’ to her detractors by announcing a show of support for embattled Soul singer Macy Gray, who recently came under fire for the controversial comment “just because you go change your parts, doesn’t make you a woman.”
As Gray braved the backlash – which included some longtime fans promising to boycott streaming her music and attending her concerts – Rowling took to Twitter to suggest she’s willing to pick up any slack the negative press causes.
Tuesday morning (July 5), JK didn’t appear to be “jk” when she responded to a Gray critic who suggested the singer’s career was over due to the transphobic comments.
“Today feels like a good day to ensure I’ve bought [Macy Gray’s] entire back catalogue,” said Rowling.
Though she didn’t expound with details, the message of support was loud and clear to many who already despised the best-selling writer for her previous anti-trans sentiments.
Gray’s catalog consists of multiple compilation albums, a live album, and ten studio albums, which have collectively sold over 25 million copies worldwide.
She’s best known for her debut studio effort, ‘On How Life Is’ (1999), which sold over 7 million copies worldwide and features her first and only Hot 100 top 10 hit, ‘I Try.’
Doesn’t she have like one hit song? I’m sure it cost like 20 dollars cause ain’t no one has Bough a Macy Gary music in years!

You guys really need to learn objectivity. Theyre allowed their viewpoint. Its not anti trans. Theyve made it clear that they support trans rights, but that doesnt mean that womens rights and status should be submerged as a result. Trans women can be accepted as women on a social/societal level, however they are not biologically women. Thats scientific fact. Changing ideologies and fluid social norms cant change that. There are clear and undeniable differences between trans women and biological women that mean whilst they should absolutely be equal in rights, they shouldnt be lumped together as the same thing. Things like bathroom sharing and the merging of competitive events is completely unacceptable and people with this entirely logical and understandable viewpoint should not be harassed and classed as anti trans.

Anytime you reduce and dismiss someone’s humanity due to their s**, sexuality or body parts is at the very least bigoted and at the most fatal. This is what I was talking about in the other post, people taking things out of context to fit a certain narrative. At no point in time did Macy suggest that trans people are subhuman. If Macy’s words triggered anyone, it’s because they want to believe that biology doesn’t matter. It does matter, or else female inmates in New Jersey prisons wouldn’t be getting pregnant by transwomen all because the courts are making decisions that slowly eat away at womens rights. They’re trying to redefine science and strip away what they can to ensure that men remain dominant and womanhood becomes nothing more than a figment of one’s imagination.
Aww, you probably thought that was intelligent. Nobody’s humanity was dismissed because someone stated a fact of biology. There’s a similar disorder where people think they’re supposed to be blind so they chemically blind themselves. There’s another similar disorder where people think they’re a different race. There’s this one lady who went and permanently died her skin to look black. Yea, these are all humans who need attention and care, but giving into their disorder and telling them they’re something they’re not is not equipping them to deal with reality and deal with the world. A white person dying their skin black doesn’t make them black, and “race” is even more of a “social construct” than gender is.
What does being a woman mean to you? I’m genuinely interested because that will help give context to my repmy and better frame my response. And while you’re at it how do you define your s**, race and sexuality? For example I am male, black and homosexual. Let’s debate. I’m here for it.
