ASAP Rocky has officially been hit with charges in relation to a shocking shooting in Hollywood last year.

The rapper has formally been charged with assault with a firearm.
Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, is accused of pointing the gun at a former friend during a heated argument in November.
Per prosecutors, the new father (who welcomed a baby with Rihanna earlier this year) allegedly fired the weapon twice. The victim is said to have sustained minor injuries.
Of the charges, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said:
“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences, not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood.
My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”
This isn’t the only high-profile brush with the law the MC has had.
Indeed, Rocky was previously handed a two-year suspended sentence for his role in a brawl in Stockholm in August 2019. A brawl that saw him incarcerated for several months before release.
