Taylor Swift continues to break records.
This time around, it comes courtesy of her hit album ‘1989.’
More details below…
On the latest iteration of the Billboard 200 chart, Swift’s ‘1989’ has now officially charted for 400 weeks. In doing so, it becomes only the third album by a female artist to reach this milestone.
Only Lana Del Rey‘s ‘Born to Die’ (444 weeks) and Adele‘s ’21’ (541 weeks) have charted longer than ‘1989.’
Upon its release, ‘1989’ was met with widespread acclaim and saw instant chart success. It topped the coveted Billboard 200 chart for 11 weeks and has been certified 9x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
It included the top 10 hits: ‘Shake It Off,’ ‘Blank Space,’ ‘Style,’ ‘Wildest Dreams,’ and ‘Bad Blood.’
