Nearly 7 years after earning his latest top 5 album on R&B charts, legendary singer-songwriter Babyface is aiming for a redo with his latest LP, ‘Girls Night Out.’
Released October 21, the project comes as his first under label home Capitol Records and was preceded to digital shelves by the #1 R&B hit ‘Keeps On Fallin’ with Ella Mai as well as the Kehlani-assisted ‘Seamless,’ the Queen Naija-assisted ‘Game Over,’ and the Baby Tate-enlisted ‘Don’t Even Think About It’ (as reported here).
Other notable names on the 13-track effort include Ari Lennox, Doechii, Sevyn Streeter, Muni Long, and others.
“Rather than just writing the songs, I collaborated with other producers and the artists themselves in terms of writing. It gave it a different experience and flavor, which allowed each artist to have their own thing. ‘Girls Night Out’ is really more about them than it is about me,” he said in a recent interview about the highly collaborative effort. “They’re very independent and have a good idea of who they are, and what they should say…If I’m pushing myself onto it, I don’t get them at all.”

The concept is cool, but explicit rap music doesn’t fit Babyface. I’ll stick to his collab album with Toni.
He working with cheap b****** now. He didn’t he ask faith Evans to be on it. F*** is wrong with Babyface didn’t he write the waiting to exhale soundtrack he went from that to girl night out. He not ready for exhale part 2 if he with them.
You sound deranged. Did you take your meds? He clearly wanted to work with newer female R&B artists. Nothing wrong with giving them shine AND space to be creative on HIS project. The album is actually dope. I doubt you listened, just wanted to flap your big gums lmao.
They just cheapening his name. But you’re a street w**** you wouldn’t understand.
Did he lose faith Or fantasia phone number did Jazmine Sullivan not show up
Most of these women only sound good over electronic driven beats. Their voices are NOT soulful enough to take on the more “Quiet Storm R&B”.
Babyface peaked with Toni.
