Burna Boy lit up the charts this year with ‘Last Last’ and, armed with that momentum, the star is set to become the first-first African artist to make history in a UK stadium.

Today, it was officially announced that the superstar will be staging a special ‘Love, Damini’ show at the London Stadium on June 3. The concert shares its name with his latest studio album.

In top billing the Robomagic Live and Coko Bar show (which will host an anticipated crowd of 60,000), the GRAMMY winner is to become first ever African artist to headline a UK stadium.

News of the show comes on the heels of the performer’s sold-out shows at London’s OVO Arena Wembley and The O2, as well as a full-to-capacity spectacle at New York’s Madison Square Garden (which was also a history-making affair).

Speaking on the incoming concert, Burna said in a statement

“London Stadium is going to be my fairground! I’ve been told that I couldn’t achieve anything because of where I came from, I hope this can show people that when you have a dream it doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, your dream can come true. This is going to be legendary, it’s history and I can’t wait for you all to be a part of that.”

Tickets go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 25, November via OnASpaceship.com.
