Days after the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to press to announce Doja Cat had become the first female rapper in history to collect over 22 Gold plaques, the ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’ hitmaker may soon be getting news her ownership of the record was short-lived.

Taking to press Tuesday (November 29), the RIAA revealed multiple Megan Thee Stallion titles had their certifications updated.
Already one of the best-selling female Hip-Hop stars of all time, now her tunes ‘Megan’s Piano’ and ‘Plan B’ are helping her extend that honor with their newly-christened Gold statuses. This means they’ve sold the equivalence of 500,000 units each in the United States.
Further, the Young Thug-assisted hit ‘Don’t Stop’ (found aboard Meg’s 2020 debut album ‘Good News‘), is now Platinum – a measure that denotes sales equivalence of 1 million in the U.S. ‘Thot Shit,’ also found on ‘News,’ is now 2x Platinum.
With the updates in tow, Stallion trots to a cool total of 23.5 million digital singles sold Stateside (as of time reported). The feat was made possible in part by her 16 Gold records – the fourthmost among all female rappers.
The only femcees to own more Golden plaques from the RIAA are Doja Cat (23), Nicki Minaj (21), and Cardi B (17).
