Halle Bailey is earning rave reviews for her performance of Janet Jackson‘s ‘Together Again’ at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

22-year-old Bailey, with guitar in hand, delivered her own unique rendition of Jackson’s #1 hit from 1997’s ‘The Velvet Rope’ album on the primetime broadcast.
Following the showing, Jackson heaped praise on Bailey, telling ‘The Little Mermaid’ star “I luv it!”
Filled with gratitude, the singer replied “omg, love you so much.”

I know we like to say some artists can sing everything, but sometimes a person’s voice and styling is so unique to a song that it just doesn’t sound or feel the same when another artist sings it. I’m sure Halle will have some great songs of her own coming out after Little Mermaid.
