Christina Aguilera Seemingly Claps Back at Pink: “Grow Up…Don’t Poke Me Under the Table”

Published: Thursday 6th Apr 2023 by Rashad

Following their 2001 remake of the LaBelle classic ‘Lady Marmalade,’ GRAMMY-winning singers P!nk and Christina Aguilera went from topping charts to being #1 on each other’s sh*tlists – a feud most thought was put to rest in 2017 but was seemingly reignited in 2023 as the former promoted her latest album, February’s ‘Trustfall.

Despite “taking responsibility” for her seemingly unintentional role in reheating the beef, Xtina fans (affecionately called #Fighters) weren’t buying that P!nk wasn’t being intentionally shady when she referred to the ‘Fighter‘ singer as ‘not very nice’ and naming ‘Marmalade’ as one of the least favorite music videos shot over her career.

Aguilera remained mum during the height of the reignited drama, but seemingly broke her silence recently when she took to the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast.

Hot on the promo trail for her new role as co-founder and chief brand advisor for Playground, an all-female run vegan sexual wellness brand, Aguilera chatted it up about everything from her sexual history to personal life, music, and more.

When quizzed about her highly publicized celebrity feuds over the years, Xtina didn’t call any names but the references made in her response to the question had most viewers believing she was definitely talking about P!nk.

“I just want none of it anymore, being part of the headline. It’s like something that as a grown woman we can have more control over. I don’t like getting poked under the table because then the claws come out,” the ‘Genie in a Bottle’ diva relayed before sharing, “Don’t poke the bear any more. I don’t need to be talking about things that happened decades ago. Let’s grow up; let’s embrace – now more than ever is the time for that.”

Later in the conversation, Christina suggested haters who have dropped her name in interviews are doing so for clout.

“Don’t poke me under the table because I’m not going to be baited any more,” she said. “A lot of people, because they need some attention, they’ll poke under the table when no one’s looking then be like, ‘I don’t know why she’s so upset.'”

All-in-all, the 42-year-old suggested this will be the last time she addresses any drama of this ilk.

“I just don’t have time for the petty bullsh-t or the ‘celebrity status’ stuff.’ I want to live a real life, and I’m loving life,” she stated. “I want good things around my energy and space. It’s so important to preserve that [for me and] for my children.”

As of time of this report P!nk has not responded to Xtina’s comments.
