Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.
However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.
This week, we want to highlight cuts from Jess Glynne, Jackson Wang, Taeyang, and JOSEPH .
Join us inside…
Jess Glynne – Silly Me
After taking some time away from music, Jess Glynne has made her grand return. Entitled ‘Silly Me’ the song is a reflective, bluesy number that embraces the fact that life isn’t perfect and there will be times when we mess up. A sonic detour than the synth-heavy releases of her past, Glynne proves that she can master any sound.

Jackson Wang – Cheetah
Jackson Wang has been busy making a name for himself outside of GOT7. Last year’s ‘Magic Man’ was a fresh, high-spirited offering and now he is continuing his streak of new music. Released as a single, ‘Cheetah’ is a funky, rhythmic tune that is complete with handclaps, grooving bass lines, and bongos. Another home run, Wang is proving that he is on one of the hottest streaks this year.

Taeyang – Shoong!
K-pop icons have joined forces for a new song. Case in point, Taeyang has teamed with Blackpink’s Lisa for the song ‘Shoong!’ Borrowing elements from R&B and trap, the pair delivers a radio-ready song that could be one of the biggest songs of the summer.

JOSEPH – Fireworks
Indie sister trio JOSEPH have unleashed their fourth album, ‘The Sun.’ Found on the project is the song ‘Fireworks.’ With a pulsating beat, glorious harmonies, and heartfelt lyrics, the sisters created a tune perfect for dancing and crying to. The best song on an already stacked album, ‘Fireworks’ soars high and lands even more beautifully.
