The Irish singer, whose struggles have been well documented, reportedly passed away today (July 26).
In her final post on social media, O’Connor tweeted paid tribute to her son Shane – who died last year aged just 17. She shared a picture of him and wrote:
“Been living as undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul.”
The ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ songbird is survived by three living children.
