The GRAMMY winner unleashed her new EP ‘CiCi’ on August 18 and has had fans spinning the 7-song set on repeat.
Home to lead single ‘How We Roll (ft. Chris Brown),’ the project also features Lil Baby (‘Forever’) and Big Freedia (‘Winning’).
Rather than rest on her laurels, the 37-year-old sat down with Apple Music to discuss the project and her musical journey of independence.
Waxing candid, CiCi opened up about her rollercoaster run with labels and the emancipation she felt by launching her own imprint, Beauty Marks Entertainment.

Ciara needs to pray for vocal talent & musical success now that she has her man. Beyonce has all 3 plus more. No need for her to be jealous of someone who hasn’t seen a certification since Bush was in office no shade but shade.
She is trying to market a brand that is not marketable for her anymore. She is a married mom. Her music is very cheesy. Her lane would be maybe a podcast about being a mom or help mate to Russell. Idk. I can honestly say I just don’t care about her music anymore. No new offerings.
She hasn’t addressed the whole Uptown/Republic Records issue.
