Ahead of reports Lauryn Hill is set to bring the iconic tracks from her 1998 debut solo album, ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,’ to the Global Citizen stage as a 2023 headliner, the GRAMMY winner lifted the lid on news the LP’s 25th anniversary celebration will include a global tour.

‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour,’ designed to commemorate her Diamond-certified effort of the same title, comes as a 17-city jaunt slated for arenas around the globe.

“The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is and was a love song to my parents, my family, my people, my musical and cultural forebears, my teachers, my loves, my Creator,” Hill shared in a statement reminiscing on the influential LP. “I wrote love songs and protest songs— (still love songs) about the subjects and interests that inspired and moved me. I was confident that what inspired me would resonate with an audience that had been led to believe that songs of that kind could only live in the past.”

Set to kick off in Minneapolis on September 8, the trek – which will be co-headlined by her groundbreaking group The Fugees in some locations – will venture to Toronto, Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and more before wrapping up in Seattle on November 9.
