Not long after celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut single, ‘It’s All About Me,’ and raising a toast to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her third studio album, ‘Moodring,’ R&B singer-songwriter Mya gets back to business here and now with the new single, ‘Whine.’
“No one should stand in the way / We should get a little closer now / I’m drunk off your energy eh / Let’s keep it goin’ ’til mornin’ time,” the GRAMMY winner sings on the Theron Thomas-co-penned track.
The island-kissed cut, co-starring legendary dancehall hitmaker Bounty Killer, arrived alongside a similarly themed, choreography-laden music video filmed in Kingston, Jamaica.

Love this! Imagine if radios were actually brave and played great music from 90s artists who still work hard to put out great music, like this gem here.
Mya looks and sounds amazing!
We agree here. Video was very well done and her best in a while. It’s the type of song and visual you would expect from someone of her caliber.
Keep up the good work Mya
Mya dropped this to remind everyone she’s still a BADD B*TCH!
I think Mya has all the potential to reach a new peak in her career. Back in the day I couldn’t wait to see what she did next.
She needs to work with Missy for that or some big producer but I doubt they will want to give here something good when they know they can make better money with the young and new. She just need someone who care more about the art than the 💰
Art is not the issue here. Her music has been very well done. She no longer needs mainstream recognition. Her spotify numbers indicate she is on par with her peers.
Very nice! Job week done, Mya.
^well^
*well*
Where did she find Bounty Killer, his care home?
Song doesn’t really do it for me but she stays classy and gorgeous as ever.
