On this week’s Mediabase adult contemporary airplay chart, ‘Flowers’ sits at #1 for a 25th total week.
Because of its extended stay at #1, the song now holds the record for the longest stay at #1 for a female artist in the chart’s history. Prior to this week, the song was tied for the record with Adele’s ‘East On Me.’
In terms of overall releases from artists, only three songs have spent more time at #1 than ‘Flowers.’ Maroon 5’s ‘Girls Like You’ was #1 for 36 weeks, The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights 35 weeks, and Uncomfortable;e Kracker’s ‘Drift Away’ at 28 weeks.
