Now, the mogul will be adding more to his mantel. For, organizers of the MTV Video Music Awards 2023 have revealed that he’ll be taking home a prestigious honor at the hotly anticipated ceremony.

Diddy will receive the award at the September 12 show for his “unparalleled career and continued influence that has achieved unrivaled global success in music and beyond.”
Renowned for his achievements as an artist and as the musical shepherd of countless other acts, the Bad Boy Records founder has earned two #1 albums on the Billboard 200 and five chart-toppers on the Billboard Hot 100.
It’s been confirmed that the music maestro, who is nominated for four other awards, will also take to the VMAs stage to perform. The showing, which is set to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, will serve as his first time performing at the show since 2005.
It’s expected that Diddy will showcase songs from his forthcoming LP ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid.’Set for release on September 15, the project features the likes of The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Jazmine Sullivan, and the reunion of his critically-revered group Dirty Money (Dawn Richard & Kaleena Harper).
Other performers on the night include Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award honoree Shakira, Doja Cat, Lil Wayne, Anitta, and Demi Lovato.
The 2023 VMAs air Tuesday, September 12 at ET/PT across 180 countries worldwide.
