Lola Brooke is taking it back to the 90’s with her latest release, ‘You.’
Assisted by GRAMMY-nominated rapper-singer Bryson Tiller, the sizzling cut – boasting a prominent sample of Foxy Brown‘s 1996 hit ‘Get Me Home‘ (which itself is based on Eugene Wilde‘s 1984 single ‘Gotta Get You Home Tonight‘) – sees its performers exchange lyrics about starting a summer fling.
“Ha, huh, I’m yours for the summer (Hey), Wanna drink until we drunk? I’m choosin’ you, baby/ Things I wanna do to you, baby, You say he crazy so I gotta take a risk on you (Hey)/ Like why would I lie when I’m tryna put this on you (Yeah) baby,” Bryson sings on the Khristopher Riddick-Tynes & LilJu-produced bop.

Who are these people??? I feel so old!!
You’re late with this. Sounds like a copy and paste but I love this song and the original. Bryson gives it abit of freshness.
Meh.
Gross. Enough with the h** music. These industry bytches are hell bent on sounding exactly alike, and promoting sluttiness and filth. Girl, you are pretty and have skill. Are you not more than your pucci, and do you not understand how you promoting raw sekz will do to people listening to your nasty song? Talk about other things. I miss the Queen Latifas and Missy Elliots.
You do have to remember the missy elliots and queen latifahs grew up around times when it was hard. Black people had a lot of growth and healing. Some of them came from nothing and were probably surrounded by violence, poverty etc. So back in the day rappers and a lot of things to write and grasp from. But I do agree they should try switch it up or maybe try a different sound. But will this day and age actually listen or care. Were surrounded by charting n makin hits if you don’t your washed up or a flop.
