Cher has made no secret of her distaste for fellow Pop icon Madonna over the years, but – let her tell it now – the two have buried the hatchet of their multi-decade long beef.

Longtime fans of the ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ diva know there have been multiple times over the last few decades she has spoken of Madge in less than glowing terms – slamming the ‘Like a Virgin’ hitmaker for everything from “not being unbelievably talented” and “not beautiful’ to being a “c-nt” and downright “mean” (as seen here).
The clip the latter quote is housed in found itself in a headline-making montage that’s played during Madonna’s current ‘Celebration World Tour’ – signaling to some the feud between the Pop stars is alive and well.
Despite the years of bad blood, however, Cher – hot on the promo trail in support of her October 20-released holiday album ‘Christmas‘ – revisited her history with Madge and made clear the hostility is no longer there.
“It’s not a beef. I actually like her,” she replied when quizzed by the ‘LA Times’ if she had seen the clip in the ‘Celebration’ show. “She can be [mean]. We buried that hatchet a long time ago because I called her something so much worse, and she forgave me.”
At writing, Madonna has not responded to Cher’s latest comment.
We all know she’s a bítch!
