Drake is heading for another #1 album with his latest effort ‘For All The Dogs.’
However, the Hip-Hop hitmaker made time to clap back at Joe Budden.
The rapper-turned-culture commentator waxed candid about his disapproval of Drizzy’s new project on his podcast, branding the set “rapping for the children.”
Suffice it to say, it didn’t take long before Drizzy hopped online to clap back. Thunderously.

Snapping back, Drake took to Instagram to comment on DJ Akademiks’ video clip of the remarks. And he didn’t bite his tongue. Instead, he bit at Budden.
The Canadian star said:
“@joebudden you have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success…a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…you switched careers cause the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque and the raps you write had 450 men showing up to your shows in dusty Enyce jeans to screw up their face to Mood Muzik 29 and pretend you are the goat…pls to any artist that’s doing what they feel is right don’t let these opinions affect your mindset after the fact…this guy is the poster child of frustration and surrendering. You retired and we never hung up your jersey we don’t even remember your number. We know you for doing this…you withdrew from rap not cause you accomplished all you need to it’s cause it wasn’t working for you. I never want anybody in the generations to think that the whole “everybody’s entitled to their opinion” is a real thing…this is a man projecting his own self hate and the fact I did and continue to do everything he wanted to do for himself. If you need it put in simpler terms I own a 767…he owns a modest house in the 973 and flies first class on special occasions.”
Responding, Budden wrote:
“You’ll grow up sooner or later…Father time is undefeated.”
Drake thought this was a read but he insulted 99.99% of the world who don’t own a 767.
Be very careful buddy. God will humble you very quickly.
Drake talking to haters like you and Joe
Just like beloved Rihanna said I hate broke b****** 🤷♀️
Umm…. Legit, when I listened to the album I asked the same questions. I then started to wondered how old Drake was bc content wise, he’s not talking about anything progressive. He’s that guy for men right now and he’s still sharing the perspective he entered the game with.. f*** h***, money over everything.. we don’t hear enough about his philanthropic efforts.. how he’s building for his family.. etc . I’m not tripping on him dating younger ladies. That would be fine if he was introducing them to a more evolved view.. but he doesn’t rap like he is. While the s*** red song will get ppl moving, I was disappointed because her brand isn’t in alignment. Or a few of us didn’t think so. The album isn’t bad it just isn’t great. Simply put.. a lack of growth and depth. He can afford to take a break.
Drake don’t need to prove nothing to nobody. he been carrying the rap industry by himself for the last 10 years.
well I don’t like her but Drakeisha really dragged it
Joe Budden told the truth 💯
Drake is not making art he just use music as a money machine, it’s not about the art for him, he is not a real artist. He just makes what the kids will buy.
There is no artistic value for his music. He literally one of the main people that ruined the music scene.
Drake reads like the old queens from the House of LaBeija.
I can’t defend either one of them. I’m tired of Drake. And Joe Budden is one of the most annoying people on earth. I wish they’d both disappear.
It sounds like LaDrakeya is triggered. Joe Budden ain’t told no lies about his regressive ass music.
Black men are very insecure at some point… they are hating themselves for sure.
I dont like Joe Budden, but there is some truth in what he’s saying about current Drake music. Drake SHOULD BE too grown for that foolishness he just released…
That was a drag if ever i saw one… damn. But drake should have just let him say what he wants and not even react to it.
At the of the day, artist make music and put out whatever they hell they like. If drake wants to put out kids s***, and you don’t like it, just don’t purchase it. Don’t even listen if it isn’t your thing.
