Despite watching her critically acclaimed last studio album, 2022’s ‘Good Morning Gorgeous,’ be a leader among 2023 GRAMMY nominees (only to be completely shut out), Mary J. Blige‘s road to GRAMMY redemption is already getting being trotted thanks to her new single ‘Still Believe in Love.’
Featuring optimistic lyrics about continuing to pursue romance despite previous failures in the arena, Blige taps her signed artist Vado to assist on the touching record.
“Just because you see me alone, and I’m all on my own / It don’t mean a thing / Just know I can find me somebody so easily,” she croons on the new song. “I can’t lower my standards / I demand a guy / To treat me like the queen that I be.”
Ahead of the arrival of its official music video on Friday afternoon (October 27), hear ‘Still Believe’ in full below.
It’s a good jam … Can’t wait to see what she has in store for this era!!
Something is off. The hook is too slow or something.
Nice song, laid back groovy, I really like it.
Vocally there’s no moment as Randy Jackson would say, musically it doesn’t bring anything new to the table, but sonically I’m digging it.
Didn’t she say she’d work with Dre on that album after the Superbowl moment ?!
I guess we ain’t getting no Dr. Dre produced album
Btw.. Mary j blige is my first love into music but she to stop drinking, smoking whatever because her voice is strained. Mary feature on Diddy album all nasty
Some people say she can’t sing, but I love Mary’s voice. She has been dropping gems for decades. You go, Mary, gurl. I love it.
who is this random woman on the cover????? the real Mary is old and saggy
You all know nothing. Have no musical validity or credibility. Why do yall even type that many scrutinizing words? Yall truly sad mentally ill gay people.
What does gay have to do with it, you ignorant, uneducated, impoverished bigot?
