Congratulations are in order for GRAMMY-nominated songstress Tamar Braxton for driving her 2013 hit, ‘All the Way Home,’ all the way to Platinum status at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Details inside.
Taking to press Thursday (October 5), the RIAA published news ‘Home’ had reached the organization’s threshold for Platinum certification. The measure denotes sales equivalence of 1 million in the United States.
Released August 21, 2013, the song served as the third single from her second studio album – the critically acclaimed ‘Love & War‘ (which is seeing its 10th anniversary commemorated with a Stateside tour).
‘Home’ wasn’t the only Braxton favorite to get a certification upgrade recently, however. ‘The One,’ the LP’s second single, was elevated to Gold status – meaning it’s sold the equivalence of 500,000 units in the U.S.
‘One’ and ‘Home’ come as the second and third certifications of Tamar’s solo career overall and follow their parent album’s title track (which was certified Platinum in September 2022).
Loved this song when it came out
I loved and still do love this. It has that classic R&B sound that is so rare now.
