Aubrey O’Day On Diddy-Cassie Sexual Assault Lawsuit Settlement: It’s “Money Over Accountability Every Time”

Published: Saturday 18th Nov 2023 by Rashad

It didn’t take long for ‘Long Way 2 Go’ singer Cassie to settle the bombshell sexual and physical assault lawsuit she filed against her former boyfriend and boss Diddy.

Just like jaws dropped when details from the singer-model’s suit emerged and featured graphic accounts of him allegedly beating, raping, and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he watched and filmed it repeatedly over the course of their decade-long romantic relationship, mouths were left ajar when the songstress (born Cassie Ventura) and the music mogul (born Sean Combs) issued respective statements to indicate the would-be legal war was over before it could even begin.

Ventura initially demanded $30 million – a sum Combs’ lawyer, Ben Brafman, first asserted was an extortion attempt.

And while the quick turnaround made some critics side-eye Cassie and agree with Brafman’s assessment, others, like former Danity Kane star Aubrey O’Day, suggest the system at large is to blame.

O’Day, who has made headlines over the years for her distate for Combs, quickly took to the net Thursday (November 16) to avow her “full support” of Cassie bringing the allegations to light.

“I’ve been tryna tell y’all for years,” she said in response to the news.

Similarly, Aubrey quickly let her thoughts be known about the case’s settlement.

I’m not a fan of Aubrey; never was tbh but I always appreciated the fact that she spoke up about diddy and his mistreatment to her and women in general. I always felt that Diddy wanted to use Aubrey as a s** toy but she was too smart for that and that’s why he gave her a hard time because in the first seasons before they got picked, he was so smitten with her and then it felt personal as they became bigger. It’s so crazy because even back in 2016 or 2018 (I think?), his former group Dream said that he pretty much handled and treated them the same way! Look it up! And this is long before Aubrey started to talk more about her experience. Ashley Poole said that it was never a fact of them not getting along that made them break up but because Diddy would try and put them all with images of “the s*** one”, “the sporty one”, “the talented one”, etc. instead of just letting them be who they really are and let them live in their truth. She said that with them being only teens, it was uncomfortable to hear a grown man talk so poorly about how they looked and how s*** they were, etc. The one member by name of Melissa said she left because of him making her be the s*** one and the pressure behind it all that she endured much like Aubrey. So yeah, this man has been doing this for years!! Remember when he and Cassie made that nsfw commercial for his unisex fragrance where he had her legs wide open like a kitty cat giving birth? Smh. I don’t ever wish on anyone’s downfall but Him, Jay Z, Dr. Dre, and 50 cent really need to be exposed. The holier than thou attitudes they carry is sickening and have honestly run it’s course at this point. I’m not here for a witch hunt but I definitely want the truth and for others who suffered behind them to speak their truth. Cassie needs to continue forth with that book and spill the damn beans!

He did the same thing to dream so many years ago way before Danity Kane. They gave an interview in 2016 or so saying how he was Intense to work with and how he made them feel insecure about how they looked and how s*** they were even as teenagers. By the time of their second album, he pushed a more s*** image for them and it just wasn’t fun anymore she said. The member by name of Melissa said that she didn’t want to be in the group because of him and the way he made her the s*** one all the time with little contribution as far as singing goes. Look up the interview for yourself, it was so ironic to read because he literally took the remaining blueprint he had with them and pushed it off on Danity Kane. The only downfall is that Danity Kane was put together on tv and made a lot of people feel like they knew each of them which is why so many people still support and talk about them to this day and then also, Aubrey has been keeping her foot on his neck relentlessly over these last 12 years and I am here for it. Not really a fan of her but I applaud her speaking up.

Diddy had made a lot of comments about her weight, her hair, her breast, her voice that she probably didn’t like, but he was preparing her for what would happen wants she was in the spot light. Evident because she struggle with everything he mention her whole career. People thinking her breast were fake, the media monitoring her weight gain( I remember video of her crying in a Hotel.), her voice not being good enough. I used to blame Diddy for their breakup until they got back together and broke up again, barely finishing the album. I do wish he paid them though. It sucks knowing they dropped two number albums, but weren’t paid.
