‘Levitating,’ the third single from Dua Lipa‘s blockbuster sophomore album ‘Future Nostalgia,’ already sits in Billboard history books for being the longest-charting song by a woman in the hitlist’s 65-year history.
Now, its record-setting reign is extending to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Taking to press Monday (November 6), the RIAA revealed the 2020-released tune had reached the organization’s threshold for a Diamond plaque – a measure that denotes sales equivalence of 10 million in the United States.
The first hit of Lipa’s career to reach such stature, the triumph also marks the first female singer-led single released this decade to receive the coveted certification.
Among all acts, ‘Levitating’ is the 122nd song to receive a Diamond award.
Added to the sales performances of her other hits like ‘New Rules,’ ‘Break My Heart,’ and ‘Don’t Start Now,’ the certification ugprade brings Dua’s cumulative single sales to 24.5 million in the U.S.
