Watch: Tamar Braxton Demands Justice for James Wright Chanel & Confirms Chrisean Rock Assaulted Him

Published: Tuesday 14th Nov 2023 by Rashad

‘Love & War’ took on a new meaning for performers at the recent Los Angeles stop of Tamar Braxton‘s current tour in commemoration of her breakthrough album’s 10th anniversary.

As previously reported, reality star-rapper Chrisean Rock was among Friday night’s (November 10) special guest stars but apparently missed her cue for stage time due to a misunderstanding that ld allegedly led her to assault Braxton’s background singer James Wright Chanel.

The incident is said to have caused Chanel’s hospitalization, rendering him unable to perform.

Sending Rock’s name to the top of Twitter’s trending topics list all weekend long, the embattled starlet subtly addressed the hoopla through various posts on social media before ultimately shutting down her handles due to the drama.

Now, after keeping silent for days, Tamar has entered the chat to speak her piece.

After Chanel, Rock, and even Tamar’s bestie LeTroy Davis all spoke out about the incident (which is currently under investigation by local authorities), Braxton finally broke her silence on Monday (November 13).

“I wasn’t going to say anything out of respect for James,” the GRAMMY nominee started. “He got assaulted at my show, and it was by Chrisean.”

Later in the clip (captured by our friends at TNT), Tamar gave her version of the events that led to the drama that unfolded.

“Chrisean is someone I look at like, from afar, a younger sister,” the 46-year-old shared. “She was somebody I wanted to meet, to possibly take under my wing…”

All-in-all, Braxton concluded that her allegiance was to her friend and longtime background singer, Chanel, who she is demanding “justice” for.
