‘Sweet Love’ is the last thing Anita Baker is receiving after her highly anticipated ‘The Songstress Tour’ pulled into Houston’s Toyota Center on Friday (December 15).

Riddled with bad reviews for tardiness, a shortened setlist, sound and technical issues, and more, fans took to social media in droves over the weekend to royally slam the Queen of Quiet Storm for her on-stage antics which included having some concertgoers ousted by security and demanding people stop recording her with their phones (as seen above).
Once rumors began swirling that something was off with the legendary R&B diva – including some peddling claims that she looked as if she had been abusing substances – Baker took to Twitter (December 17) to hit back.
In regard to the attendees who were booted from the show, one concertgoer suggests he believes Baker was justified for having them removed.
This isn’t the first time Auntie has received negative press for circumstances surrounding the tour.
Months ago, the diva had a highly publicized falling out with fellow legend Babyface (who was once the jaunt’s special guest) that led her to boot him from its line up.
Your thoughts?
She is such a strange woman. Her diva and often erratic behavior has been talked about for years and now it’s on the forefront for all to see. She really left a bad taste in my mouth after the Babyface fiasco. Auntie is insanely talented but also deeply troubled.
They lucky she make it like Lauren Hill said. Ha ha
I loved the concert and I loved Anita. From what I read, she has had hip surgery so, she may have had to take some type of medication for any pain she may have had. I had a wonderful time. I enjoyed her thoroughly and want to see her again. Her recordings do not do her justice. LOVE ME SOME ANITA!
