The Lovers & Friends 2024 lineup lit up the internet in a way most shows could only wish.
Widely hailed as one of the most must-see spectacles in recent memory, the Las Vegas extravaganza boasts a roster of R&B and Hip-Hop royals all on the same bill.
One of the names that had the masses most excited was Mary J. Blige.
However, her response to the unveiling saw the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul’s appearance at the festival thrust into doubt. Doubt that has now been dispelled.

Blige took to Instagram in the aftermath of the Lovers & Friends reveal to announce that she would not be performing due to a scheduling conflict.
She wrote:
“I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival.
Unfortunately, my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later! I have the greatest fans in the world and can’ wait to see you in New York in a few short months!
Mary J. Blige”
However, shortly after, organizers for the event confirmed that Blige will indeed be rocking Lovers & Friends
Responding to the announcement, MJB posted an Instagram Story with the caption: “😏💰”
