Muni Long is waving the flag for R&B high and proud courtesy of her latest Hot 100 hit ‘Made for Me.’
Critics who wrote the mega-success of ‘Hrs & Hrs‘ off as a fluke will be disappointed to learn Long’s latest single, ‘Made for Me,’ is en route to matching that 2022 tune’s success.
Entering the Hot 100 last week at #93, ‘Made’ – benefitting from the exposure of a viral challenge that’s taken over Tik Tok, Instagram, and more – hopped to #44 on the chart’s refreshed edition.
Here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Streaming ≈ 9.2 million U.S.-based streams
- Radio airplay ≈ 9.6 million audience impressions
- Sales ≈ 3,500 digital downloads
The downloads listed above were also enough to move Muni to the #1 spot on the week’s R&B Digital Song Sales tally, hopping over the likes of top sellers like ‘Snooze‘ (SZA), ‘Water‘ (Tyla), and others.
As a performer, the Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox-produced jam now ranks as Long’s second highest-charting hit to date following the #16 peak of ‘Hrs’ and soaring ahead of ‘Angel (with Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, Jimin, and JVKE)’ which peaked at #65.
