The Rap girls are showing out!
Just a day after it was announced Cardi B‘s latest hit, ‘Enough (Miami),’ was the week’s overall top-selling song and 12th top 10 hit, a slew of other female rappers – namely Flo Milli, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red – also boasted milestone wins.
Details inside.
As if boasting continued domination over Tik Tok charts wasn’t enough to brag about, Flo’s breakout hit – ‘Never Lose Me‘ – is still winning on the Hot 100 nearly two months after becoming her first top 20 placement.
The release of a SZA and Cardi B-assisted remix, as well as the tune’s March 15-dropped parent album ‘Fine Ho, Stay,’ has not only helped the Gerreaux-produced bop stay in that chart region but hop to #15 to become her highest-charting hit to date.
As previously reported, Red’s latest drop – the self-affirmative ‘Get It Sexyy‘ – was predicted to be en route to becoming her highest-charting solo hit just days after its March 15 release thanks to the serious momentum it gained on streaming platforms.
Premiering at #23 on the refreshed Hot 100, the entry not only marked the closest the rising rapstress has ever gotten to the tally’s top 20 by her lonesome but majorly bests her previous top-charting solo hit ‘SkeeYee’ (which reached a height of #62).
Overall, the #11 peak of the Drake and SZA-led ‘Rich Baby Daddy‘ remains the highest rung she’s reached on the all-genre chart.
Like Flo, Glo is taking the scenic route to the top.
Marking a personal milestone by becoming her inaugural solo-charting Hot 100 hit, the February 9-released ‘Yeah Glo‘ (set to be found on the April 5-due ‘Ehhthang‘ mixtape) cracked the top 40 for the first time – making it the first time she’s entered the chart region unaccompanied.
The self-affirmative tune is printed at #35 on this week’s edition of the tally.
