Taking to press, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that Tyla’s song ‘Water’ has now been certified 2x Platinum for the sales equivalent of 2,000,000 units in the United States.
Because of this, ‘Water’ not only was the singer’s first Platinum hit, but it now has the distinction of becoming the singer’s first Multi-Platinum hit as well.
‘Water’ was an international success upon its release and became a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Additionally, the song would go on to win Tyla her first Grammy Award.
