It looks like new music is on the way from Brit-Pop icons, the Sugababes.
Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy have eteranlly etched their name in the history books thanks to chart-topping anthems such as ‘Push the Button’ and ‘Too Lost in You.’
Now, after reclaiming their name and legacy, the trio is strutting forward towards the release of fresh material.
Full story below…
Speaking on the new music at the launch of their Absolut collaboration, Donaghy said:
“With our new music, it’s always hard to describe as we jump around so much with genres. I feel like we can take it dark and poetic and then also bring the bops!”
She added:
“Once we finished the summer festival season last year, we went straight back into the studio because it’s just been impossible to find time. However, we’ve definitely found our sound for the new record. I can reveal that the album is in its finishing touches stage now.”
“We were so humbled and truly grateful. It was an amazing night! Honestly, things mean so much more when you have been through the things that we have.
We don’t take anything for granted and we are so blessed to have the legacy that we have.”
We’re all sorts of ready!
I just can’t wait, I’m so impatient !!!!
The CLOSURE lately, X-Men 97′, Sugababes, maybe we can finally get Beyonce and Lady Gaga to perform Telephone and Destiny’s Child to bring back all members Farrah included.
Same way I never thought I’d get original Sugababes back, anything can happen..
Farrah lol?
I love them
Yas! So excited! True talent
SugaFLOPS.
No U.S. hits.
No one cares.
That isn’t their fault. Most UK/Europe groups didn’t chart in the U.S. during that time period. That and being a U.S. act or being successful in the States doesn’t make you better. Lots of trash artists here.
Who you? Lol You mean nothing ….
Eat a bowl of A*IDS. Sure your dad has some to spare.
Truly a versatile group. I WILL be listening!
Well The Lost Tape came and went like a thief in the night.
Finally, all their hard work is coming to fruition. It’s been a long journey starting from reuniting as MKS, to re-gaining the Sugarbabes name, going back to their solo careers for a bit, collabing with DJ Spoony and then finally releasing new music under Sugababes name again last year.
Seems like they need a bully in the group to actually put out an album more than once a decade.
