Mariah Carey‘s 3x Platinum 1999 album ‘Rainbow‘ may not celebrate its 25th anniversary until November, but the Songbird Supreme hatched a plan to align the commemorative set’s release in time for Pride Month 2024.
A toast to the critically acclaimed project, ‘Rainbow’ beams as a standout in Carey’s discography as it was her first studio effort without contribution from award-winning songwriter Walter Afanasieff.
Featuring contributions from big names like JAY-Z, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Missy Elliott, Da Brat, Joe, Master P, and more, the LP famously contains the hit singles ‘Heartbreaker,’ ‘Thank God I Found You,’ ‘Against All Odds,’ and ‘Can’t Take That Away.’
For its anniversary edition, For its anniversary edition, Mariah expanded the tracklist to 28 songs including remixes and live recordings of some of the original’s favorite cuts as well as a previously unheard recording titled ‘Rainbow’s End.’
