Watch: Saweetie Drops ‘Nani’ Dance Video / Praises Foxy Brown for Inspiring the Song

Years after making headlines for announcing she was attending boot camp to overcome her heavily criticized struggles as a performer, Saweetie showed off the fruits of that hard work in the stunning music video for her latest single ‘Nani.’

Backed by a brigade of dancers in the Chandler Lass-directed clip, the 2x GRAMMY nominee popped, locked, and dropped it like never before – winning rave reviews from her beloved fan group (#ICYGang) in the process for her evident progress.

Not resting on her laurels, Saweetie recently dropped a full-on dance video to the Jean Baptiste-produced bop to prove to naysayers just how well she can get down.

Joined by fame choreographer Fullout Courtland, hop inside to see the femcee’s impressive moves.

The dance clip came shortly after Saweetie took to Posted in the Corner to dish on the new song including how female Rap icon Foxy Brown‘s 1996 debut album ‘Ill Na Na‘ inspired its title.

“At first we had a different word for nani,’ and I was like you know what—I love Foxy Brown…she [did] Ill Na Na…what if we just did nani? It’s cute. It means different things in different languages…it ended up working out,” Saweetie told the POTC interviewer DJ Misses.

I didn’t see anything impressive. And nothing about the song gives me Foxy Brown either.
