Taking to press, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has upgraded Cardi’s song ‘Rodeo’ that she released with Lil Nas X. The track was previously certified 2x Platinum and was certified as such in 2020.
However, the song has now gone on to reach 3x Platinum status for the sales equivalent of 3,000,000 units in the United States of America. Because of the upgraded certification, Cardi B has surpassed Minaj to become the female rapper with the most RIAA certifications.
Cardi’s current total RIAA units now stand at 107,530,000. Minaj’s current units now stand at 106,930,000. They are the first and second most-certified female rappers in RIAA history.
