Katy perry’s teenage dream era was the time where music was fun, vibrant, dance-pop oriented, maximalist, and mostly about partying and having fun. Nowadays music is more minimalist and trap-oriented, also somehow more personal and mellow. But yeah that’s how music history works, a genre is born, then it’s getting popular and reached its peak, and soon it’s declined, but it’s never died

For me, because I was a teenager at the time, her lyrics and aesthetic resonated with me. I’m 27 and it just takes me back to high school, driving around with friends, no worries or responsibilities . It just perfectly sums up that time.

I will never forget this era of music. Teenage dream still remains my #1 Katy Perry song of all time it take me back to middle school era. I believe what made teenage dream successful was in the mindset of the electropop sound movement flourishing and you have to remember at the time a lot of pop stars in that movement had more darker and mature music and public persona including lady Gaga, Rihanna and Kesha. I feel Katy more colorful, friendly music and image made her more appealing and crossover

California Gurls opened the door for me but Teenage Dream knocked it out of the park. I hope miss Katy knows that, that song is extremely special. Whenever I hear that song which is rarely it takes me back to when I myself was a teenager and fell in love with music. That song is a true gem! Congrats Katy

  16. Adele 21 July 4, 2024

Like what Adele said about this album, all the singles in this album are all hits, radio friendly and there’s no fillers at all.
