I’m not a massive Ciara fan – I’VE REALLY TRIED OVER THE YEARS … partly because of her vocals. It’s just missing emotion and range for me. It would be interesting to see what she’d do for tiny desk concert, no room for smoke and mirrors. This would leave her vocals exposed. I’m a fan of Tinashe’s artistry but her tiny desk was weak. Vocals didn’t go anymore, thankfully her band did most of the heavy work.

Ciara seems like a really nice person just a bit bland like her artistry is hmmmm just not the most creative. Even when she’s cosplaying Janet or Aaliyah, it’s not authentic. Her catalogue shows she doesn’t have a good ear.…. Her first album had innovation. The rest either tried to replicate Goodies, follow trends or seem dated. Her best feature was Missy’s Lose Control and she’s barely there. If she had better vocals she could have featured more. I prefer Ashanti’s tone and range. I admire Clara’s resilience though. She’s been more consistent compared to some of the others who debuted around the same time. She’s a smart business woman. When she performs you know she gives it her all.

Yes to Goodies, 1 2 step, Oh, Body Party, Ride., DLWML (but I think this was Dr Luke) ✅ but then she makes absolute noise like Level Up 😵‍💫 throwing missy and fat man scoop made it worse.
