Congratulations are in order for Ashanti and Nelly!

For, it has been confirmed that the couple has welcomed their first child together.

Moments ago, Ashanti took to Instagram to share a picture and video of herself. In the latter, she proudly declares that she’s “four weeks postpartum.”

She also wrote:

“Funny how life’s plans aren’t…always on time.. lol. I’ve been waiting to be a mom for a long time now but nothing could prepare me for EVERYTHING motherhood brings! This is what postpartum looks like I’m loving these super cozy @fridamom shorts! I’m so proud of my body for giving me my baby, baby, baby, baby, baby. 😆”

The youngster, whose gender was not shared just yet, is the first child for Ashanti (43).

Nelly (49) has older children from a previous relationship.

As reported, the couple privately married last December. They famously began dating in 2003 and were together for a decade before calling it quits. A chance encounter during a Verzuz showdown saw the pair rekindle the flame in 2023.
