Netflix will serve as the home of a brand new singing competition to discover the next big band. Aptly, then, the streamer has tapped names from some of the biggest groups of all time to anchor the series.
For, Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger, and Liam Payne are all on board.

Christened ‘Building the Band,’ the show boasts a fresh twist on the talent-search format.
The series eliminates face-to-face encounters from the musical equation. Instead, the contestants will find their ideal bandmates based on compatibility, connection, and, most importantly, merit. And when the bands finally do meet, viewers will see how looks, choreography, and style come into play. Drama, astute artistry, and epic performances are promised.
Rowland (Destiny’s Child), Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls), and Payne (One Direction) will serve as judges.
Backstreet Boys star AJ McClean has been recruited as host.
Executive producer Cat Lawson said in a statement:
“Building the Band is a brave and bold undertaking for all involved as we hand over power to the singers themselves to form their own band based on chemistry first. With looks out of the equation, can they create a deeper connection with their bandmates? With limited bands, there are difficult decisions and heart-stopping moments along the way, but ultimately the outcome is truly amazing, with bands forming who in my opinion are worthy of the very biggest stage!”
Filming of ‘Building the Band’ begins this summer. Guest judges and unique challenges will be announced soon.

The producer of the show are trying to protect the host, especially Kelly
since she is getting so much backlash for during June’s Diary dirty. Kelly
and Nicole should not be judges if they are not going to follow through
with promoting the group. Because that wasting the time of talent
