Sexyy Red‘s breakout hit, 2023’s ‘Pound Town,’ has put her on the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) map in a new way.

Taking to press on Tuesday (August 13), the RIAA revealed Sexyy was the proud owner of her first-ever certifications.

While ‘Pound Town’ procured a Platinum plaque for sales of 1 million in the United States, 2024’s smash hit ‘Get It Sexyy‘ got Gold for sales of 500,000 in the same territory.

The news came days before ‘Get It’ fell off the Billboard Hot 100 in its 20th frame of charting – just three weeks shy of marking a personal milestone by becoming her longest-charting entry ever.

And though it does hold the title of being her solo hit with the lengthiest tenure, the Drake and SZA-led ‘Rich Baby Daddy‘ remains her overall longest Hot 100 tenant (23 weeks).
