Sabrina Carpenter is singing the praises of pop icon Christina Aguilera.

In a new interview with Paper Magazine, Carpenter spoke highly of Xtina and how she influenced her.
“I love Christina [Aguilera]. That was one of my very first idols and icons. I was 11 years old and you couldn’t get her name out of my mouth. She’s very special to me. Those songs raised me,” she said of the pop icon.
The interview with Carpenter comes as the singer gears up to release her new album ‘Short ‘n Sweet’ this week.
The album features her hit singles ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please.’
