Toni Braxton is opening about her past health scare and how it could have affected her career.

According to People, Braxton called her family to a meeting where she discussed the health scare that almost turned fatal.
The experience turned out to be a widowmaker heart attack, which occurs in the left anterior descending artery.
The superstar reveals that she had to cancel some of her her 2-year Las Vegas residency, ‘Love & Laughter,’ due to the emergency.
“They told me your sister was watching over you because…you should be dead today. You should not be alive,” she said.
“That’s a very scary procedure itself, but when my doctor told me I might not ever be able to do a tour again. Okay? I heard it before, but this was different. They say you may never be able to do another tour because you could have a heart attack,” she continued.
Braxton was diagnosed with lupus in 2008, and has health issues in the past related to the disease.
