Usher made his triumphant return to the stage last night (August 20) to kick off his eagerly anticipated ‘Past Present Future’ Tour.
A neck injury saw the superstar postpone the original Atlanta launch of the global trek last week.
Clearly rested and healed, the King of R&B held court at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC and wowed with a seismic spectacle that celebrated his iconic legacy, unrivaled showmanship, and enduring popularity.
An extravagant affair, the singer’s set saw him backed by a troop of dynamic dancers and collectively they thrilled with gems both known and new.
Indeed, smashes such as ‘Yeah,’ ‘Climax,’ and ‘U Make Me Wanna’ were fused with cuts from Usher’s latest album ‘Coming Home’ like ‘Good Good,’ ‘Ruin Me,’ and ‘BIG.’
